“Pretty much everything that has a motor on it is equipped with a Force Control clutch-brake or brake” says Thacker. “I never worry about them going down.”
“I never worry about the Force Control products going down” says Thacker who has relied on them for years. “But if there ever is a problem, I know that I can call them anytime – night or day – for an immediate resolution to the problem.”

Email from our Representative at Engineered Industrial Systems

Steve Aaron at Thermo Ramsey asked me to pass on his thanks for the fast turnaround on this quote which resulted in a nice order. I understand there were some minor changes to the spec, but he was very appreciative.

Each year we try to up the web speed says McIntosh.

Before we began using Force Control we were running at about 425 feet per minute. Replacing many drives with Force Control enabled us to up the line speed. Each year we increase the speed and look for the weakest link – then address it. Now we’re operating at 700 feet per minute.

Frequent jams would not only destroy large numbers of shingles, but also cause the line to be shut down

until the jam was cleared. When the diverters were fitted with Posidyne oil shear clutch/brakes to replace the air cylinders – in 1992, those maintenance problems were eliminated.
